Skyler Fussner, P.E. is the founder of Slopeside Consulting, bringing eight years of structural engineering experience to residential projects throughout Bend, Oregon and Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley. He holds a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and an M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, both from the University of Colorado Boulder, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon, Colorado, and Montana.

Skyler's career began with hands-on design-build experience, working directly with architects, engineers, and contractors, managing construction progress on site, and preparing bid documents for subcontractors — experience that shaped his practical, constructible approach to structural design. He previously owned and operated Slopeside Engineers in Aspen, Colorado, leading structural design and client relationships on high-end residential projects throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. That foundation now informs his work at Slopeside Consulting, where he brings the same hands-on, client-focused approach to new builds, remodels, and additions in Bend and beyond.

Over his career, Skyler has contributed to luxury single-family homes, multi-family developments, ski resort lodging, and mixed-use and municipal buildings across Colorado and Oregon. He works fluently across Revit, RAM, Enercalc, RISA, and other industry-standard design software, and is known for staying closely involved with each project's design and construction team from concept through completion of the build.

Outside of the office, Skyler loves to spend time out doors with his wife (Megan) and his two dogs (Waylon & Summit). Together, they enjoy skiing, mountain biking, rafting, and camping. After work you can find Skyler at Mountain West CrossFit where he coaches classes.
